Stunt Scooter Matching Parts

Here are some basic rules. We are often asked to adapt this headset to this fork or bar, these parts have no connection with each other in the assembly, as they do not connect with each other or do not go directly together.

The importance of these combinations:

Which deck corresponds to which headset? There are standard decks and integrated decks, a standard deck requires a standard headset and an integrated deck requires an integrated headset!

Which
fork is suitable for which compression? First of all you have to clearly define the compression you want to ride, ICS, SCS or HIC, and then select the fork, because there are a lot of forks, which makes the choice difficult. For ICS systems, a standard fork without a star groove or insert (threaded nut) in the fork tube is sufficient; for a SCS or HIC system, the fork must have a star groove or insert.

Which
bar fits which clamp? There are different handlebar diameters that also require a different size of clamp nut. If the standard handlebar is made of steel, a standard 31.8 mm diameter clamp is required. If the handlebar is made of ALU, which, due to its material, has a thicker outer diameter, a clamp with a diameter of 34.9mm is required. These handlebars are also called OS (for Oversized) handlebars. Steel handlebars marked as OS or HIC also have a larger outer diameter and in addition a larger inner diameter. They can therefore only be steered with a HIC system and a clamp with a diameter of 34.9mm. For the HIC handlebar, there are also kits that include the HIC system and the corresponding clamp.

Please note: HIC handlebars are also called OS (Oversized), but since HIC handlebars are always made of steel, they also have a different inner diameter, whereas ALU handlebars have the same inner diameter as standard handlebars. In conclusion, HIC handlebars can only be used with a HIC system and are not compatible with anything else!

Which
wheel size fits my deck and fork? If you own a standard entry level scooter, you may only be able to ride with 100mm wheels. The forks and deck are not designed for 110mm wheels. Almost all forks and decks are suitable for 110mm wheels. It is important to read the description of the fork to find out if it is suitable for 110mm wheels. Selecting the wrong wheel size is the most common mistake during the ordering process!

Which
brake is suitable for which deck? Here you should always use the right brake for your deck, because it was designed for the right deck. If a brake that is not suitable for the corresponding deck is selected, you must safely modify it and make it suitable for your deck. If you use a brake that is not suitable for a deck, there is no guarantee on the brake plate, as we cannot determine whether the brake has been installed correctly.

Which
bar is suitable for which compression? Again, before anything else, the purchase of the handlebar must be determined by the compression chosen or already owned. An ICS compression requires a standard or ALU handlebar, a SCS compression requires a SCS handlebar specially identified in the description, it is made of steel and does not have an integrated clamping slot. The HIC handlebar is always made of steel and requires a HIC or OS (OverSized) handlebar specially identified in the description. The IHC compression system is currently only available from the manufacturers BLUNT and FASEN, this compression system is only suitable for standard and ALU handlebars. No way for HIC handlebars!

Attention: HIC handlebars are also called OS, but since HIC handlebars are always made of steel, they also have a different inner diameter, whereas the inner diameter of ALU handlebars is the same size as the standard handlebar. In conclusion, HIC handlebars can only be used with a HIC system and are not compatible with anything else!

The following combinations are not relevant:

Which handlebar for which fork?

Which deck for which fork?

Which handlebar for which headset?

Which clamp for which deck?

Which headset for which fork?

All these combinations are not relevant to each other, so it is not important to check for compatibility.
